A classic backup setup tends to fail on three points: it's fiddly to configure, the data sits unencrypted at the provider, and when it matters you can only restore everything at once. Termiverse makes data protection part of device management: the agent backs up selected directories encrypted to a destination of your choice — every snapshot is individually and fully restorable, stored deduplicated and incrementally. The agent downloads the backup engine (restic) on demand itself, on Windows as on Linux. That gives you data protection that still holds when a device fails, is encrypted by ransomware or is simply lost — without running a second, separate backup product.
Files are encrypted with AES-256 before they leave the device. The destination can be a local folder, a network share or cloud storage: S3, Azure Blob, OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. You set the repository password yourself; without it the data stays unreadable. Backups land exactly where your data is already allowed to live — in your own data center or at the provider you prefer.
A file browser lets you search any snapshot and restore individual files or folders on demand — to their original location or to an alternative path. No restoring the entire data set just to recover a single file. Restoring an accidentally deleted file takes seconds instead of hours.
Backup jobs run on a schedule. Retention rules clean up old snapshots automatically and protect the newest ones, keeping storage manageable. Because backups are incremental and deduplicated, every snapshot is still fully restorable. You see every run with its status and timestamp right in the device detail.
