Anyone granting administrative access to servers and workstations has to be able to prove at any time what actually happened in a session. Termiverse records every connection automatically: SSH sessions are captured as a replayable recording — including all input and output — while RDP and VNC sessions run through guacd and are stored just the same as a screen recording. Playback then happens directly in the browser, with no separate player, export tool or local installation. Every recording is linked to the audit log, which logs who connected to which target and when, and role-based access control (RBAC) determines who may start sessions and who may view stored recordings. This creates a complete, tamper-evident audit trail that documents reliably what happened during internal and external audits, four-eyes approvals and break-glass access — without administrators having to operate any extra tools.
SSH sessions are captured in full and can be replayed in the browser like a video — with every command entered and the matching output. Fast-forward and rewind make even long maintenance sessions quick to review, so every single step remains clearly traceable afterwards.
Graphical sessions to RDP and VNC targets run through guacd and are captured as a recording. Playback shows the full screen activity of the session, so actions in graphical interfaces stay traceable too — in the same browser window as the SSH recordings.
Every recording is firmly linked to the audit log: who connected from where to which target and when. Role-based access control (RBAC) separately governs who may establish sessions and who may view the stored recordings — keeping access and review cleanly separated.
